This evening, I bring more of Mordengarde to you. Tonight, I will tell you of the Due’gar. They are the youngest of the races on Mordengarde. They are commonly seen all across the world and are not partial to any particular area. They have been seen as merchants, sailors, magic workers, engineers and many more professions or careers. The Due’gar are a stout race. Their homeland May’un’tan is a now mountainous land across the see from the Dragon Coast. The people of May’un’tan, if they had to be known for something, would be the Mu’erat A’el (Or Ale of Death). It is a strong alcoholic beverage that is known for its potency. Most cannot handle the drink and are instantly drunk after one or two solid drinks of this tasty yet feared beverage. It is seen in almost every town and there are often contests to see who can handle the most of this beverage. To date, no known death has occurred as a result of drinking this ale but the morning after drinking it there is a price to always be paid.
The Due’gar are, as mentioned before, a stout race. They tend to be heavily muscled and barrel chested; this includes the women. A friendly race of beings, if ever there was one, they are highly naïve about most people and do not understand the trickery that can be in some beings. Often to their own detriment, these creatures will help or assist any they feel are in need. The Due’gar are fiercly loyal, however, and will defend, with their lives should it call for it, friends and those they consider family. Of a strong constitution and solid heart, Due’gar will venture in to the world simply for the fun of adventure or to follow and assist friends who wishes to see the world. Due’gar have no true understanding of the workings of the world and their innocence usually causes them to be taken constant advantage of in most all situations. They are usually seen in abundance in most of the Dragon-kin towns. The dragon-kin are always kind in return, if a little commanding, to the Due’gar. The Due’gar are trying to find their own place in the world as they see the Eel’a’nar have found theirs. This passage is not as long as I have not fully fleshed out this group. |
