Would like to say that I am glad to have seen Cody back out again this week and he was joined by Mr. Keith Holt as well. James and Cody played tonight and I played Keith tonight.
Let's start with James and Cody, whose game I know next to nothing about as I was busy with my own game but I did get a picture which I will post in Shadow Squadron later, as I am able. I am not really sure what James flew but I THINK it was a version of Palp Aces. Cody flew his Bigg/Ghost combo again. It looked and heard to be a fun game. There was much laughter and chatting tonight. On my side, I was facing Keith who detailed his list but I have a horrid memory. I know he ran a scum list of 2 z95's, a Y-Wing turret (I think with TLT), and a Jump Master (Not 100% on that). His list was pretty good and I enjoyed losing to it. I decided to abandon the rebellion this evening and went with Imperials. I ran a mini-named swarm with Carnor Jax as the lead. It was fun. I had Howl Runner, Backstabber, Mauler Mithel, and a Black Tie with Crack shot. I had a shield upgrade on Carnor and a hull upgrade on Howl Runner. It was a new experience for me and the idea was be using primary weapons and throw 3 to 4 attack dice at a distance of 2 or better and it worked well for the most part. I messed up at first and didn't come back from it. But I found I liked my mini-swarm. Tonight was the kind of night I hope to manage more of in the future and I hope to manage it with more people. I forgot to mention our gathering time in Shadow Squadron and that may have cost us these past two weeks but still. Tonight, there was discussion and observation and chatter and laughter all around. We all flew casual and I enjoyed my time as I think everyone else did. Poor Brandon showed up late so he's running on something like 8 or 9 weeks with no play time and I feel bad for him. Anyway, this is a short one as I have a headache and am really tired. See you guys next week! |
