Well it's Tuesday and we all know what that means. Yep, that's right time for more X-Wing talk. It's almost here. The Aturi Tournament. One more weekend and one more Tuesday to practice before the tournament comes to haunt me and mock me for my losses. Or maybe I'll win, who knows?
We had a small crew tonight. James, who didn't get in to the tournament but was still game to help others practice, came prepared with is Soontir Fel 3 interceptor list. A list that Gemmer's Talans have yet to play. Reuben got that pleasure tonight and he seemed to do pretty well. Reuben's son, Sy ( Think that's right but I might be wrong, I'll have to check on that as soon as I get a chance), played me tonight. Not entirely sure what he was playing other than just random ships he liked. There was a z-95 and Mist Hunter in there. He is new to the game but I hope he enjoyed it enough to come back. His 3 ship list came up against Gememr's Talans and we tied both games. The first game, as with all new opponents, was a learning experience for me. I was not prepared for what choices he would make and the few chances I got to fire at him were only due to Gemmer's speed in the A-wing. (This is a reason why I wish I could figure out a good A-wing list to bring to the table for this tourney. It ended up being that I did the most damage by way of punching Mist Hunter in the face with Prockets and got him down his 3 shields and 2 of his hull. He slapped one of the Tala's down to 2 hull. The second game was a bit more eventful. By the end of round 2, It was just Mist Hunter versus my whole crew, as I got to unload to sets of prockets in to his other two ships and ate them alive. Then Mist Hunter took a couple of rounds to beat down Gemmer. In the end it was 30 to 30 between all the destroyed ships. Tonight was loads of fun and I hope it continues to be so for everyone involved. Come see us or play with us.
