It's that time again. Though, first, I apologize for my absence. Life happens and I missed a week or better of posting. That said, Welcome to social media - Mr. James Seaton. He finally has his own facebook. Also thanks to James for posting pictures of Shadow Squadron tonight. We had a few visitors from the magic crew and they expressed interest in the game. Trish won her game against, I believe his name is John. (I'm sorry I am horrible with names.) Not sure what lists they were flying but they seemed to have a good game.
Tonight, my opponent was one Mr. Josh Holt. I lost.... spectacularly. He was running a pretty high up Tie FO (Not sure which one at the moment) and he ran Whisper. I must say he did an excellent job for someone who's only flown her twice. His last ship was Palpatine in a shuttle. He ran against a last minute odd list of Gemmer's B Wings. I ran a decked out Gemmer with Prockets and Farlander (B-WIng) with Flechette cannon and torps among other things, and a standard blue squadron bwing with similar setup to Farlander. I'll post the full list later. The idea was to use Gemmer to get a good first strike in and use Farlander and his buddy to clean up. Farlander was to use stress along with focus.... yea, it didn't work out so well. I flat out sucked tonight. I don't know if I just sucked sucked or if the list was just a bad idea. I may tweak the list a bit and fly it again later or I may go with my 3 Awing list next week, we will see.
In any even, congratulations to Trish and to Josh for their victories. Let's move forward and we'll see everyone next week.
